So glad my niece shared this. Wonderfully expressed, and reminds me of “my” Boston of 40 years ago. Not the tragedy, but the silken web of interconnectedness, the amazing sense of community, and the unique identity and pride of place. As a recent college graduate then, getting acquainted with her surroundings, I reveled in the magic that I discovered there. You obviously have discovered the magic too. Blessings to you.

Hi! I made these and they were delicious! I did use too much pine nuts – a little mix up with cups and milliliters. It was funny though, with the pine nut sauce (with extra pine nuts) I did not taste the fig that much but without it very clearly. What difference a sauce can make!
